Conical Wedge Lock Washer Pair Sizes
This is a technical summary on our Conical Wedge Lock Washer Pairs (M10 and larger), in each size we supply version for both the common Right-Hand Thread as well as Left-Hand Threaded Nuts/Bolts.
All Conical Wedge Lock Washers are made from Spring Steel, eiher SAE6150 or SAE5160. Remember that Conical Wedge Lock Washers come in mating pairs.
This 1-pager provides a summary of target preload, and required torque , by bolt size and bolt class, for a range of k-factors.

Please take note of the following abbreviations and useful information concerning each Bolt Size used in the Product Sections below:
- Ref : This is the Reliable Pressings Identifier with the matching Metric or Imperial Bolt Size reference as a suffix.
- Di : Inner Diameter, De : Outer Diameter.
- T-pair : Material Thickness of the mated pair.
- t-single : Material Thickness of a single Concial Wedge Lock Washer.
- l0 : The unloaded overall height of a single Conical Wedge Lock Washer.
- h0/t : The ratio of the unloaded Cone Height (h0 = l0 - t) to material thickness.
- Pitch : The Course Std Thread Pitch of the Bolt to be used with the Conical Wedge Lock Washer, used to derive CAM height.
- Imperial : Dimensions of the converted Metric size or the actual Imperial Size in inches
- TPI : Turns per Inch
- # CAMS : the number of "wedges" that are on the inside surface and which mate with each other.
- Height of CAMS : the height in mm of a single CAM and is a function of CAM nbr and Course Std Pitch.
- # GRIPS : The number of elevated "wedges" that bite into the surface of the tightening assembly
- Height of GRIPS : the height in mm of each GRIP
- LoadFlat : the imposed load generated when the Conical Wedge Lock Washers are flattened and flush with each other.
- DeflFlat : the amount of deflection required when tightening the pair to make the opposing CAM surfaces flush with each other.
- σI : This value provide information on how the cone that creates he spring effect will last and be maintained.
- GF = Ratio of yield point. This is the preload achieved expressed as % of yield point. Generally around 70%
